December 28, 2011 Fluffy to Fit
Since June I’ve worked on my health. I cut out all sugars, all grains, most of my legumes and have attempted to stay away from processed foods.
It hasn’t been easy. The first week was sickening. My head hurt so badly I was nauseated. I persisted and overcame.
Time passed and I lost 20 pounds. I felt better. I was doing well.
The year before I had kidney stones; and the year before that as well. Since I’ve cut out anything but water and juices. I’ve had no kidney issues.
The problem was that by the end of November I realized that I had plateaued at 20 pounds just through changing my diet alone. My thought was that I had committed to the most strict diet that I had ever attempted. It showed more commitment on my part than I had ever had toward a lifestyle change than ever before.
I decided to take another step. It was time to move. I purchased Power 90; the predecessor of P90x. On December 5, 2011 I started pushing play. My coach has been great. I don’t need a lot of encouragement but David has been great to have as a coach. He has given me some excellent advice and that he’s been doing P90x and other similar training from BeachBody.
In that time, I’ve dropped 10 pounds (from 242 down to 232) and have lost several inches. I’m not quite fit as of yet but I am quickly getting that way.
