You know, I always have a hard time with “about” pages. I tend to think that the best way to learn about me is to read the things I write. You’ll find, quickly, that I’m a passionate guy. Especially when it comes to religion and politics.
I hate seeing people abused. Completely hate it. Nothing angers me more than seeing someone get the short end of the stick. Religiously, I can not stand when a preacher or a leader of any sort humiliates a “lay” person. Politically, I can’t stand to see people, who are capable of being great, great people diminished in the bondage of entitlement which comes couched in good intentions.
In both areas, I do not believe that everything is going to work out and be easy. That is the fact of life. Life sucks, is hard, and you have to work at it. And, usually, once you work at it, you work through it and come out of the other side with a better life. And, remember, better doesn’t always mean wealthy or material.
I won’t make excuses or try to sugar coat the idea that some people have a hard life and will always have a hard life; but I tend to believe that it is my job to assist those in my community and not allow some foreign, large, and incapable entity love them.
